Washington Storage Lockers is one of the largest providers of self-storage units in the Pacific NorthWest. WSL has over 40 locations and 5000 units, on different billing platforms including monthly deductions, pay by phone and manual check collections.
- Scaled the financial operations & accounting team from $10M in annual revenue to $25M and assisted with the company going public.
- Lead and/or was a key participant in the process of multiple systems implementations, including accounting, revenue recognition, payroll, and equity management.
- Developed and lead an extremely effective team of 20, that exemplified the companies core values of being honest, supportive, driven, innovative, authentic, and effective.
- Oversaw all aspects of the monthly close schedule and helped to reduce the monthly close from 15 days to 10. We were able to make use of these 5 extra days by meeting with managers and provide monthly budget updates.
- In an effort to scale the company, created important accounting & financial operations schedules (monthly close, accounts reconciliations, vendor & customer repositories, audit PBC schedule, etc.) to increase efficiency and set the financial systems up for growth.
